    Full Time LSA (primarily for 1 :1 support for a child with an EHCP)

    Contract/Hours: 1year fixed term to 31/08/2027

    32.50 hours/wk

    Job start date : 1st September 2027

    Salary Details: Grade C Actual £18924 FTE £25186 (pending pay award)

    Hours of Work: 8.30–3.30 (1/2 hour unpaid lunch). Term time only 32.50 hrs/wk

    St Alban’s CE Aided Primary School is a one form entry school with a strong ethos based on Christian values where every child is ‘inspired to make a difference in God’s world with excellence and love’.  

    We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and caring Learning Support Assistant to work within our team under the guidance of the class teachers and the Inclusion Lead. ‘Staff know pupils well and have a clear focus on supporting those who are most vulnerable. Provision for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is well organised and built on high expectations.’ Ofsted, January 2026

    The successful candidate will:

    • Have a good basic education (English and Maths GCSE grade C or above is desirable)
    • Support and promote the Christian ethos of the school and demonstrate conduct in keeping with this, including high standards of personal conduct and professionalism
    • Be able to model high standards of grammar (spoken and written)

    It is imperative for our whole school relational approach that our Learning Support Assistants undertake lunch duty for 30 minutes each day.

    Cleaner

    St Alban’s Church of England Aided Primary School is a happy, popular and successful one-form entry school in Havant with a strong Christian ethos and high standards where every child is ‘inspired to make a difference in God’s world with excellence and love’.  We are looking to appoint a reliable and efficient cleaner (with key holder responsibilities) to join our friendly team. 

    Start date :  TBC

    Contract/Hours: Fixed term initially pending a permanent appointment.

    Salary Type: Support Staff

    Salary Details: Grade A - Actual £6548- £6599 per annum (FTE £24225-£24415)

    Salary Pro-Rata: £6548 (pending a pay award)

    Hours of Work: 10 hours per week, 4:00pm-6:00pm Monday to Thursday and 3.30pm – 5.30pm .

    Location of Role: St Alban’s C E Primary School

    JOB/PERSON SUMMARY

    The successful candidate will: 

    • be reliable, hardworking and flexible
    • have high standards of cleaning to ensure that children have a clean and safe school in which to learn
    • be able to work individually and as part of a team to carry out a range of cleaning duties in line with agreed procedures and standards
    • support the Christian ethos of the school and demonstrate conduct in keeping with this
    • support site security with locking external gates, classrooms and external doors as a key holder for the school

    The successful candidate will work during term-time.  There will also be occasions when the cleaning team will work some hours during school holiday periods to meet the deep cleaning needs of the school (when hours will be ‘blocked’ together).

    Experience would be an advantage, although full training and support will be provided.
