The Home School Association (HSA) would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and what we do and hopefully encourage you to get involved.
The goal of the HSA is to raise funds through having fun. The funds we raise then go towards purchasing goods to help enhance the learning experiences of the children at St Alban’s.
Over the years, the HSA has bought everything from iPads to fences! As well as raising funds, our aim is for HSA events and activities to provide opportunities for parents to get involved and socialise with other parents and for our children to build some treasured memories.
This goal cannot be achieved without parents, grandparents and carers helping to arrange and support the HSA activities. The more support we have, the more we can do.
We have regular meetings during the school day to discuss and organise events and activities. All are welcome, whether you can make every meeting or just attend occasionally. Just let us know you’d like to get involved and we will ensure you are! Many helpers have limited time but there are lots tasks that can be done at home or in your own time.
We also rely on parents donations for many of our events. Donations of toys, books, bottles, plants, unwanted gifts and clothes have all been requested at some point during the year so please keep hold of potential donations.
There are lots of events run by the HSA that have become regulars on the St Alban's calendar:
Just to name a few! We also arrange some items that can be purchased such as personalised Christmas cards and tea towels with self-portraits of all the children in the school.
HSA letters about what is happening next and what is needed to make events a success will be sent to parents via email from the school and also directly via the HSA.
